Originally aired 29th December 2002: “This week on Turntable Radio we take a look back over our first 12 shows and the music of 2002. I have selected my favourite unreleased tracks of the year (with music from the likes of PrimHero & Mart-1, Waxfactor, B-Roc and SamSaScratch), and we also look back at the highlights of our shows to date – including the D-Styles interview and the Hip Hop Slam special. Add to that a rare recording of the Birdy Nam Nam DMC-winning set (courtesy of DJ Need), a trio of tracks from the UKs rising star DJ 2Tall and a look back to the spectacular music from France and Germany, not to mention a brace of DJ Happee tracks and you have one show not to be missed.”

Rhythm-Incursions strikes back!

A quick note to let you all know that Turntable Radio’s sister show (or big brother, or… you get the picture) is back with a bit of a vengeance. Rhythm-Incursions has now moved to a podcast only format, from its original FM slot on London’s Resonance FM.

As part of this move the R-I website has had a bit of lift and as of this week the show is airing again, this time on the digital airwaves with regular shows, guest mixes and much much more.

To start it all off, Waxfactor’s ‘Sci Fu’ LP is being given away in full 320kbps glory, complete with artwork and the original promo megamix by Buddy Peace. A serious first podcast and the perfect chance to get your hands and ears on this great little album if you never got round to it.

Head over to the R-I website to grab it all and for full details of the show’s return.

Stay tuned as TTR will be next in line for a revamp, and we’ll be working over the coming months to tie both sites and radio shows together more than ever, with Waxfactor dropping a very very special mix in about a month which will be podcast across both sites, the first of many tie-in podcasts to come.

And don’t forget to sign up for the R-I podcasts if you haven’t already, because trust us there is some serious serious music coming your way on there in the coming weeks. You’ve been warned!
