When lazy journalism strikes…

Imagine my surprise when I heard that Q Magazine, one of the world’s larger mainstream music mags, had mentioned the humble Turntable Radio podcast in its pages. “Clearly we are getting somewhere when these guys are hearing about us!”, I thought to myself, and I hurried off to the shop to grab a copy.
Then I read it. And laughed. Why? See for yourself:

MR THINK?!?? Who the fuck is that?
OK – let’s break this down a little more. One: I (Mr Trick) stopped presenting this show back in 2004. I still own it and oversee it, but Laurent has been steering its progress since then. Not me. Two: where did they get “Mr Think” from? Was someone thinking “Mr Thing” whilst trying to type “Mr Trick”??? Three: if the journo in question had visited the site – or, god forbid, listened to a show – he’d know that Lo introduces each and every show himself.
So, there you go: the payrolled, lazy-ass journo fool strikes again. He might work in the same building as the guys at NME who mis-credited Wrongtom’s work on the Anti-Racism CD. Who knows.
Still, I guess there might be truth in there being no such thing as bad publicity. Maybe.
Oh, and if you’re visiting off the back of reading about us: Welcome! The presenter and organiser is called LAURENT FINTONI and our podcast is fuckin’ SICK. Now – please continue…
