Since its first version Ableton Live has come a long way, as a musical tool and software of choice for many, many artists – including DJs, producers and tablists. One of the people who’s been messing around with it for a while is Lamont, from Real Tablist and DJ Big Band, and he’s now put up a dope video of him using the program alongside his turntables and the new Rodec Scratchbox to knock out a lovely little set. Thanks to the effects inserts of the mixer he’s able to use Ableton as a drum machine, loop station and fx unit.
Check the video on Youtube.com here or stream it from below.
And be sure to look out for Lamont’s next release, a joint EP with 2tall entitled ‘Senses Overloaded’ which will be out on Real Tablist in the autumn. You can hear some tracks from the EP on previous and future podcasts. For more info on the man himself be sure to hit up the Real Tablist site.

Turntable Radio has a cool video of Lamont doing a nice set using Ableton Live, a Rodec Scratchbox, and his decks.
Check it out!
