Eclectic Breaks Scratch Series vol 1 now out – Peaceful Warrior by 2tall

This one nearly passed us by even though we’ve all been waiting for it for quite a while. Eclectic Breaks’ Scratch Series takes off this month with the first volume courtesy of 2tall, who doesn’t need any more introduction we think.
Entitled ‘Peaceful Warrior’, this is 2tall’s first break record and sees the man deliver a tasty selection of beats for practice and battle alongside a wide selection of samples, arranged in various sentences, ideal for home or live use, production, cutting, etc…

The record is out now in all good online shops, and incoming in all good physical stores this week. Japan had the exclusivity for the last few weeks, so if you’re out there the records should already be everywhere. Distribution is handled by Amalgam US and is worldwide. So if you can’t find it at your local record pusher ask for it. Heads in the UK and Europe can head over to Juno which has copies in. Turntable Lab should also have some shortly.

And hot on the heels of the ‘Peaceful Warrior’ record is the second volume in the series, this time handled by Daredevil and entitled ‘Break Fluid’. This one follows the same concept as 2tall’s, with a nice selection of beats, scratch and juggling sentences for practice, live use, battling etc… If you heard Daredevil’s track from the Cuts of Culture compilation, then you’ll know what to expect in part as that track was made using the record.
