Turntable Radio: new site, we be bloggin’

Welcome to the new Turntable Radio site! Things were getting a bit out of step with our previous website, especially with regards to our shows which are now podcast-only (or freely available to download as MP3s, in plain english). So, this new site will incorporate our news, the archive of the 83 streaming audio shows we did from 2003-2006, the podcast feed and much, much more. Cosmetically its not quite there yet, but frankly we wanted to move to the new site before uploading our new Japanese Special podcast, which will be online in the next 2 or 3 days.

Features of the new site include:

better integration with our podcast

email notification when a new podcast show is online

integrated audio player for all MP3 links (incl. podcast shows), which will mean easy streaming with no proprietary formats like realaudio etc.

integrated video footage in conjunction with YouTube

better comments facilities for users to discuss posts

clearer site navigation including a better search engine

Enjoy the new site, enjoy the new show and enjoy looking around. And, if you’re a DJ, a label head, a PR person or anyone else for that matter, be sure to keep us up to date with what you’re doing.
